Sponsorships and Special Events

An industry member can contribute to charitable, civic, religious, fraternal, educational, and community entities.

If one of these entities is conducting a special event as a retailer, or in conjunction with a retailer, an industry member’s contribution cannot induce the entity or the retailer, directly or indirectly, to purchase any products from the industry member to the exclusion, in whole or in part, of another industry member’s products sold or offered for sale at the special event.

An industry member must keep records related to sponsorships.
